Treasurer
Who
does not like money? (Oh, come on, be serious...) But as the two
former treasurers share their experiences of holding that coveted
position, we learn that guarding the piggy bank is a serious business.

As
your treasurer this year, I had an awesome time. First, I'd
like to thank the people who voted for me, I appreciate the
vote very much.
Secondly,
being your treasurer, I always called everyone who owed money
and reminded them how much they owned. I kept track so I didn't
get peoples money mixed up. I made up graph sheets so I had
my work very neat and readable. I haven't even made a mistake
on the money that I kept in my binder.
Finally,
I would like to thank you again for letting me be your treasurer
this year.

In
my class, I am the treasurer. I record how much money we have
and how much people owe us. When the Grammarian and the Ah-Counter
are finished recording whether the people said the word of
the day or any of the filler words that the Ah-Counter asked
us to avoid, they get charged. I get their books and see how
much everybody in my class owes. Then every week, I will know
exactly how much they owe and collect it from them. Then I
write down the total amount of money we have and if people
forget to pay, I remind them every week.
Every
class has a Treasurer to manage the funds. We change officers
every four sessions, so being Treasurer does not last forever.
The Treasurer is a pretty important job, you have to keep
track of the money, record it every week, and make sure your
people pay.
