Enhance mutual understanding between the United States and China. Promote world peace.

China Rural Libraries Project
In partnership with rural government agencies, CEC has established 120+ public libraries  throughout rural China since 1991. This is made possible by funds donated from individuals mainly in the U.S. Basically, it takes only $5,000 to establish a rural library. To participate, you can be the sole sponsor of a such library, or you can join a pool of donors for a library.
